Hmm, "moved to 200speed film to stop down"? That implies you must have
been using at least 400 ISO film before? I'm sorry, and I do realize 400
film has improved over the years, but that is hardly a fair film to use
for judging lens sharpness.
Go shoot again with the lens with some Kodachrome, Velvia, or Provia F
and see how it does.
Yes, it may well be sharper stopped down that it is wide-open, but with
the grain on 400 ISO film I seriously doubt one could see the
difference. Just my opinion. I find the Zuiko 28/3.5 to be pretty good
and have to believe the 2.8 is slightly better.
