I have a question for those of you who use 2+ camera bodies.
Someone just posted on a comparison between two lenses and
he noted that he used 2 different OM-4Ti bodies. I am curious
about the general consensus. If you use multiple camera bodies,
are they the same? Or do you use a manual and an automatic?
I'm not talking about the case where you buy a spare body on
ebay, but where you use multiple bodies on a regular basis. I
can see an obvious advantage to having multiple bodies of the
same model (no confusion), but what about the reverse case?

I think it depends on how much you switch and use both bodies.
Before my OM days I bought a second M3, they were cheap then. But
there were detail differences such as double stroke wind only,
different speed system on the shutter dial(1/25, 1/50, 1/100, etc.)
It turned out to be a pain in the usual place. Eventually I replaced
it with a model that was exactly like the one I had. The point was
that I was actively using both bodies and any differences were just
confusing enough to divert thought to the equipment away from the
picture taking.
I don't shoot like that anymore. I sometimes carry an OM1n as a back
up to my OM4T. Sometimes it is handy with interiors and fast film
but it is just there in case the OM4T malfunctions. Its back up
function is being partially replaced by a Contax T3 which has the
advantage of smart flash. Sometimes though it is nice to just take
the OM1n out and take pictures with it for the completely different
experience, no back up needed. :-)
