I agree strongly with Roger Wesson about not letting your photos out of your
possession, and with the advice given about a tightly worded written
agreement.
To some people, the photos taken by others are like library books that you
*really* want. When you don't have them they are the most desirable things
in the world. But once you have them in your hands they easily become *ho-
hum*, and returning them becomes a real bind - with none of the urgency
that accompanied the desire to get it/them in the first place.
And the same with promises to pay. Unless the person has a known history,
I'd suggest money up front.
You have unique images, and I suggest they be treated and valued as such.
You might gently suggest this in your correspondence with the interested
person.
