Not so long I flew to sydney (from boston). Boston and sydney allowed
hand-check of film. LA did not (and my photogrpahers have been griping
about them -- also rumor they use strong x-rays for carry-on).
Btw Fed-ex now xrays (well I think it is airport security that xray their
parcel) -- well that is what someone told me -- you might check if you
use them).
