Barry, I do agree with you on this. I probably didn't explain myself well
enough. I just took the example of the cheap print film versus slide film.
The Fuji NPH 400 which I had scanned as well had far better grain structure
and sharpness than the cheap bulk supply print film which was 100 ISO. The
colour rendering was far superior in the NPH 400 than this cheaper print
film as well. The cheap film had considerable trouble with producing natural
reds and skin tones. So even with print films it is by far a better reason
with paying extra for a good negative/print film.
