Nah, it's a death spiral - they plan to sell more OM-4s. It didn't, so they
couldn't afford to run the machines as long and as much, thus the
amortization rate dropped, so they raised the price, which caused the sales
to decrease, which...
:-( You know, if I am as rich as Bill Gates, after feeding the hungry, and
numerous kind of good karma things, I would start a camera company and hire
Maitiana to build OM5/6. So if you want the vision to come true, please ask
your engineering friends to buy our products :-)
p.s. off to Yosemite, and I have set up an auto-responder. I don't think it
will bounce to the senders, but if it does, let me know and I will
unsubscribe for a few days. I just rather not miss the collective wisdom of
this esteem group (and the thousands of msgs it will generate)
