Yes, it is. However, for your purposes, I'm not sure it is the best
investment. What do you have in the 50 range? A better investment might be
a 50/1.4 -- almost as fast and put the rest up towards a wider lens. For
your purposes, the 21/2 (very expensive, of course), would be perfect.
