For me this is no real disadvantage. There is a easy 'workaround' for this:
*Set your desired shutter speed.
*switch to auto mode
*turn the aperture ring until the bar indicates the selected speed
( this step is similar to operate a OM40 /OM-PC in manual mode)
*swith the mode selector to manual
(with litte experience this can be done while locking though the
viewfinder)
-> your average-metered light value is 'stored'.
I use this manul workout when fast operation is not necessary. So I´m not
bothered
because of the the additional action.
