Hi Stephen,
about your Zuiko 180 and the dust on the inner elements: Are you sure its dust
and not maybe mildew?
About the off-topic Minolta CL: Maybe I'm wrong, but I recall (also my memory
ain't that good) that the Minolta is a small rangefinder camera, which was
developed by a Leitz+Minolta co-op and came out originally as a Leica CL
version
and a slightly diffreent ("down-spec'ed", other color?) Minolta CL. The Leica
version was stopped after a few years and the Minolta carried on (and maybe was
"upped" a bit). The Leica and the Minolta have the same fitting and you can
crossmount Leica CL lenses to Minolta CL and Rokkor CL lenses to Leica CL.
Regards,
Gerald

Subject: [OM] [OT] Opinion needed
Just checked out a Minolta CL at a local dealer today. ....v
ON topic:
This same store has a Zuiko 180 f/2.8 for $450.00 The lens body is
just about perfect, focus racks in and out just right, and the lens
blades are nice and snappy, but there is some dust on a couple of the
inner elements. Does this seem like a reasonable price or????
Thanks,
Stephen Scharf
