In response to Wavegirl's roll call, here's mine.
My name is Roy. I have been at one time or another a lurking list member.
My stay now seems more permanent than the others. The reason being that I
have expanded on my OM stuff, rather than contracted.
I am born and bred, mostly, in Singapore - a tiny red surrounded by a huge
expanse of green on some former politician's map. I have spent a bit of
time in Massachusetts, mainly attempting some form of engineering education
which I have since returned due to lack of practice.
I currently own an OM4 and an OM3. I only have a 24/2.8, 35/2, and 50/1.8
(don't feel too badly, Lisa!). Accessories include a T-32 and one Winder 2.
I am in the process of deciding whether I want that 180/2.8 I asked listers
about some time back (I will post a separate note on that, sorry...).
Failing a 180, I will endeavour to procure a short tele, probably a 135/2.8
or 100/2.8. This range of lenses will more or less satisfy my meagre needs
until I find a need for a micro lens. Though I used to carry my camera, the
4 with 35, I am now lazy. Time will heal - perhaps.
Sacrilegiously (unlike the non-heretical Lisa), I freely admit I started off
in the N*kon camp, still own, amongst others, my first ever 50/1.2 and my
second ever N*kon body, a F3HP. I also have a C*non F1n AE to complement a
clutch of prime C*non lenses I happened to discover one day in a closet.
Together with that discovery was a Hasselbl@d with 2 lenses. I appropriated
those too. Happy to say, the other camera equipment stay mostly in my dry
box. The only other hardware that spends more time outside the box is a
Le*ca M6TTL.
Digitally, I used to own an Olympus E-10 - on 3 separate occasions. Much as
I am besotted by the photographic quality of this camera, hence the 3-time
ownership, I am less besotted by the bulk and weight - something alien with
Olympus. My toes are now painfully crossed in a glowing hope the Olympus
will produce something of sense to OM owners - autofocus not required.
So, there you have it.
Cheers!
Mauler...
