Thanks for the confirmation of my hunches. I knew it wasn't the Pen lens,
but I didn't have any Ace resources for comparisons.
It's interesting that it looks so similar to the 38/2.8 made for the Pen FT
in the late 1960's. Perhaps there was some optical formulation shared
between the two lines?

Ok, I think I have identified this lens, it should be a lens for Olympus
Ace. Description matched - E-Zuiko-W 3.5cm F2.8. The front chrome ring,
mid-black focusing ring and rear DOF scale look matched it brother E-Zuiko
4.5cm F2.8 for Olympus Ace.
