There are some inexpensive AC strobes that screw into existing light
sockets. They are about 100WS or thereabouts. I believe they are about $20
ea. They can usually be had from any of the large camera suppliers in New
York. If you need to cut down the power, take a neutral density filter to
the front, the cap usually unscrews for this. This is a real studio on the
cheap and it is easier to control and other units.
