While I'm just a tad farther south, it hasn't been that much different
here. I also had to rethink landscapes and different moods for them. A
"landscape" is not necessarily the Classic Calendar Photo. I know there's
little time left. Try very early morning starting about 45 minutes just
before sunrise in the Early Morning Nautical Twilight. Use locations that
would be interesting for a Classic Calendar Photo, and watch as the entire
mood of the landscape changes as the Edge of Night passes overhead (if the
sky is very clear you can *see* it) to the first 20 minutes past sunrise.

John, great advice. I was actually planning to do the same thing only this
evening. My plans were fouled though.
It's amazing watching the face of the landscape change as the sun rises or
sets. I can recall one beautiful morning in the desert last winter watching
the sunrise amongst the landscape. The photo's did not turn out as I had
hoped, but the experience will live vividly in my memory for many many
years. At least as long as it will take for me to get back there and
re-photograph another desert sunrise.
