Further to other testimonials and C.H.'s fine shots, if anyone has access to
Chris Bonington's 'Everest the Hard Way' book about the first successful
ascent of the South-West face of Everest, many shots in that book were taken
with the 75-150.
All expedition members were given an OM1 and 75-150 zoom, and the choice of
one other lens. Most picked the 28 (f2, I guess). The long-range shot of
Haston and Scott on the approach to the gully leading to the south summit
was taken on a 600.
I kinda like mine, though I don't use it much these days. Hmm, there's an
idea...
Donald.
