The 75-150 is generally recognized as not the sharpest tool in the shed. This
softness, (others may call it worse things than that), certainly would be
just the thing for portraits. The 75-150 is certainly not the best Zuiko in
terms of image sharpness or contrast, and has a bit of a bad rep as not being
up to usual Zuiko quality. Some (many?) Zuikos can be too sharp for pleasing
portraits.
