Last first: get insurance.

I own that outfit, and took it to Florence last November. Here's my take. It
has exceptional lenses. they are more than tack sharp, although a bit slow.
You can shoot negs without the (expensive) center filter, but I recommend it
for chromes, but then, for travel, I always recommend the four emulsion Fuji
negative. It is a remarkably intuitive camera to operate, and has but one
fault, the lack of a shutter speed readout in the VF. (In auto, the only way
to know the speed is on the LCD panel on the back.

The negatives blow up really well, but consider, they are the equivelent of
using the 35mm option in a Mamiya 7. This really speaks well for the
covering power of the lenses.

Remember, though, the 45 in pano is only a 28 in one direction. Not all
objects are long and skinny. Some are big and square, like the duomo, or San
Lorenzo, or etc etc etc.. This in no way means I don't like the camera,
though.

We're going to Lisbon and Barcelona in June, and this is my plan. The xpan
with 45 and 90, and an OM4 with 21/2 and maybe either 28-48 or 50/1.2. Of
course, if I could afford the 30mm...

Of course, the best shots are always the missed ones.

Oh, and Linda, I was expecting something like "Well, I dumped him, but kept
the camera..."
