FWIW
For several years, the Leica Users Group has had a filter in-place that
deletes all posts that have URL links to Ebay auctions. THis type of post
became a REAL bandwidth sucker for a while.

As far as I am concerned all postings containing pointers to eBay
auctions should be banned from this mailing list - but in particular
advertising one own's auctions is just not done.
Which does not mean that I don't like eBay: it is just the connection
with this mailing list which I dislike. Every list member is capable
of browsing eBay him/herself.
