Yo,
this might be particularly interesting for our Dutch listees.
I talked to my OM-repairman today (Timmann in Hamburg) and he told me
that he's going to be at a photo show that is to take place soon in
Houten (NL). He was going to mail me some details as to date and
location but I haven't received anything so far.
Anyway, he's going to show something pretty interesting there: he has
done a modification of a Contax Aria by putting on an OM bajonet. This
way, Zuikos can be used on the body taking advantage of its autofocus
capability. The downside is that it does not do auto aperture. He said
he can do the mod for approximately 250 Euros, and the parts used are
of immacculate quality (first rate stainless steel etc.).
If any of you are planning to go to that show you might want to have a
look at it. While it is certainly nothing that I myself would buy
right now (especially as you need to have an Aria first) it sure
sounds interesting and worth a look all the same.
MtFbwy,
Volkhart
