> What would be a good book to familiarize myself with the Olympus OM system?

Hi Ed,
The best place to start, IMO, is with "How to Select and Use Olympus OM" by
Carl Shipman. These appear regularly on eBay and go for $10 to $20. Be aware,
though, there are a few different editions from different years, and be sure
whatever one you get covers your model of camera. IOW- the 1979 edition
covers OM-1, -2, and -10, so, if you own an OM-4, you'll need a later book.
They cover the flashes, lenses, and macro systems to some degree also.
Another good start, but not quite as good as Shipman, is the Hove Photo Guide
series- "Olympus Modern Classics" by, I think Howard Franklin.
Best,
George
