I went up the river road near Alton, IL and got some shots of the river

I could just barely open the door. I used mostly the 35-70/f4 Zuiko

shots indoors with a flash.
Beautiful area and very, very rural. My aunt has a farm up the Illinois
River near Eldred (just east of Kampsville and the Kampsville ferry). I go
there occasionally to "escape," completely forget about work, and regain my
sanity. A very old farm that was homesteaded shortly after the War of
1812, it's a place where "time stands still." It has not changed much as
far back as I can remember (to about age 4).
