Unfortunately, from what I gather, due to the light sensors being mounted
either side of the viewfinder eyepiece, there is no practical way of rigging
a spot-meter to an OM-1n. I guess the 3Ti is the closest we can expect to
get. I just wish they ran as smoothly as the OM-1n does, there's such a
well-crafted feeling of precision to a 1n. For me, buying an off-camera
multi-spot meter is far cheaper an option than an OM3Ti purchase, and it
will also compliment my next OM2 just as well. Who really NEEDS an OM4 or
OM3 anyway? :)
My words exactly ;) Anyone up for retrofitting a spot meter into an
OM1n? John, Clint, Ken, Rob, any of you guys know if such a task would
even be possible? (and how much would it add to the price of a cla? ;)
I think that an OM1S would be the perfect little camera....
