Other changes (some possibly earlier than OM-1MD to 1n):
- prism hotshoe contact improved to avoid dust problems
- stainless steel reinforcing rings in the strap eyelets
- linkage between lens and meter re-done; the aperture teller on the back
of an OM lens contacts one end of a semi-ring within the mirror box. In
early cameras (I had one) this semi-ring moved a small wheel which
transmitted info further; this little wheel was eliminated in later
cameras.

Actually, the change in eyepiece came about in the middle production of the
original OM-1.
Changes in the 1n? Off the top of my head, the 1n's have a more rounded,
less angular wind lever and rewind release, take the Shoe 4 w/ ready light
in the finder, have the Databack contact built into the body, have the
wider pressure plate and "improved" cassette spring, have a better MD
switch inside.... That's all that comes to mind, but I'm sure there's
more.
