Since it's an ADSL link with a static IP, they're basically able to do what
they want with throttling. Now, if we decide we need, say, 0.5 Mbps back (like
we used to have even on a poor day), and we want it *guaranteed*, we'll have to
go the ol' T1 route, in which case we *will* be paying incrementally for speed,
but it's about another $1,400.00/month plus usage for "above ceiling" traffic...
I have a possible alternative, which is hanging off of a 330 Mbps fiber ring
backbone, but it'll take some finagling on my part. We'll see.
