Pardon my ignrance, but I have a video friend who has one of those toys. He
pull stills out of it all the time. If it is digital, it can be done.
Digital files can be printed out...you don't need a lot of pixels unless you
are making pictures for their catalog that are larger than 4x6 ea.
I still see film as a nusance with this type of shooting.

Thanks Robin - I'm shooting film as they may also want slides for a paper
catalog as well. Besides - I'm behind the times and the only digital camera
I have is a Canon XL1 video camera!! Not quite made for digital stills!

I usually charge a set fee of $100 per Hr, plus matrials with a minimum of
two hours. You may wish to charge in 15 minute increments for the work in
photoshop. Why not shoot it with a digital camera? That would shure reduce
the amount of work you would have to do. Just my $.02. Shooting it with film
if the end result will be digital and probably on a monitor (read low
resolution), is overkill and a lot of unnecessary work.

Sorry if this is off-topic.
I haven't done assignment photography in some time, but I have a job a
company wants me to bid on. They are putting together a web-based catalog
and want all their products photographed (well over 100). The products
range in size from cookie-size boxes to a large oven. The job entails
shooting the products, digitizing and removing the backgrounds in Photoshop,
burning to a CD.
I have no idea where to begin to price a job like this. I plan to shoot 35mm
slides (with my OM4t, of course!). I would appreciate any advice any pros
out there wish to share!!
Thanks - email me directly, if you wish!
