Most of my macro shots were taken in a reservoir, the insects were hide
under leaves and trees, you never got enough light even with high speed
film since in most cases you have to stop down to at least to F11 for the
DOF. The comparison samples were taken with Kodak Elitechrome 100 (EB II)
and 80/4 with telescope auto tube, so flash is a must. With flash it can
also eliminate the camera vibration. I have to agree if you can use
available light that is great and it will be more challenging.

Almost as remarkable as the macro shots is the photo of the diffuser
with the floating camera and lens. Great! And you did that, how?
