I've lost track of what's serious and what's humorous, and I've deleted so
many posts of late that I'm not sure where this "query" comes from. Just in
case it's a serious question:
The OM-1 bodies can be retrofitted to accept smaller silver-oxide
batteries. This necessitates that the meter be calibrated for the
difference in voltage. John Hermanson At CamTech (for one) is able to
affect this change, in fact does so automatically as part of his
CLA service.
I'd recommend the 4T bodies as superior instruments, assuming you've the
extra cash and have a need or desire for this advanced technology. The
3Ti's are excellent, too, by reputation--I've never owned (or operated)
one--though strike me as somewhat overpriced. Otherwise, the OM-1 bodies
are just fine in their own right, and for a few applications arguably
better than the 4T.
Be aware that you need either an OM-1 MD (motor drive) or OM-1n body in
order to avail yourself of a Winder or Motor Drive.
I hope that's clear.
