Actually it isn't that bad. A high resolution test
target may be misleading because of the 1000:1
contrast of the images. This does not replicate most
of the images we take with our lens. But a newpaper is
actually pretty low contrast (guessing here 128:1 ??)
and gives a better idea of actual day-to-day sharpness
than a test chart.
