One thing you'll discover is that flashbulbs put a relatively large amount
of light... the guide number for flashbulbs is usually quite large.
Electronic flash light outputs didn't reach flashbulb light output for a
long time, but not having to change bulbs after every flash made the
electronic flash units more popular almost as soon as they became
affordable.
