Thomas,
A great question for the list!
After much analysis, you'll discover it is purely personal preference. Both
are simply outstanding lenses. The 90/2 goes to a higher magnification and
is also a fantastic portrait lens. The 100/2 is, possibly, a little
sharper, but also focuses down to 1:5 (I think). The 90/2 is more
expensive.
There are other options, though. The 100/2.8 with an extension tube. The
85/2 with an extension tube. The Tamron, Tokina or Vivitar Series on 90mm
lenses.
All great choices. The decision will come down to cost, I suppose.
Personally, my order would be:
90/2
85/2 + tube
Other 90/2.5
100/2.8 + tube
100/2
Notice I rank the 100/2 at the bottom, but I own it and like it. That's how
close they are.
The 90/2 is one of my all time favorite lenses.
Tom

Subject: [OM] your experience with 2,0/90 macro?
Dear all,
I´m new on this list, so I´m not sure whether this is the proper way to
pose a question. I´ll see whether it will work.
I´m proud owner of an OM4Ti. I was thinking to buy a 2,0/90 or 2,0/100
lens, mainly for portrait, but also with the idea to do some close-up or
detail.
Could you let me know what your experience is with these lenses, please.
