Really! Could you share how you went about constructing the adapter?
ASCII is not the ideal medium, but I'll have a go at it:
* Take out the screws holding the masking plate on the film back
* Replace with longer screws, screwing a sheet of (ply)wood to the back,
the masking plate is now in the middle. (the wood should already have a
hole the size of the film)
* Then it's all a question about spacing to the lens mount, in my case from
a Tokina teleconverter for OM. The spacing can be achieved with a cylinder
of plastic/metal/wood.
In addition, you could add a shutter from a LF lens, but mine kept acting
up, so I removed it. I only use it for long exposures anyway. One point to
remember is that the film back needs a "signal" when a picture has been
taken and it's time to wind on the film. On mine there's is a lever that
has to be pushed in, and I've mounted a cable release to the body, so the
release pushes on the lever when pressed. Winding is then done with small
crank on the back itself. The mount for the cable release was taken from a
fire damaged OM-2n [how is that for sad OM content?].
A few pictures would be better, and I'll see what I can do over the next
weekend.
