I don't know about astrophotography, but I use the B-300 with great
success and much pleasure on the other end of the length scale: for
macrophotography. It transforms the superb 90/2 into an excellent
150/2.5 macro lens (max aperture estimated).=20
I think that the 135/2.8 will effectively become something like
230/3.5...
