I'd carry a copy of the regs to show them.
If there's a policeman nearby (& you have the time), ask them to be
arrested and charged!
Don't let the bureaucrats monopolise chutzpah!
You could complain to the FAA about them, identifying the airline, airport,
date, time, & inspection location?
