In the February Popular Photography magazine (I know, it's a rag) they bring
up a good point- when the Postal Services bring on-line their machines
that'll zap anthrax, that'll be the end of the mail-order photo services;
since any device using radiation that's strong enoughto kill anthrax spores
will certainly ruin undeveloped film. Unless they can devise some other way
to check film going through the mail.
PMA reports mail-order film developing accounts for 7 1/2 0f all film
developing, while 600f the public uses discount and drug store chains.
