One more thing to add. The Bounce Grip only works with the QA310. The
Bounce Grip 2 works with the T flashes. Make sure it is a BG2.
Easy method for telling the difference:
T-series use three shoe contacts, the second and third are in front of the
main center contact for triggering the flash at about 45 degrees to each
side. The shoe in the BG-2 has these three contacts plus a miniature DIN
socket near the base of the handle for connecting the BG-2 handle to the
camera using a TTL Auto Cord.
BTW,
The BG-2 will make slight whine/chirping sound of its own when the flash is
turned on, but not when the flash is off. Usually the T-32/T-20 whine is
louder when it's charging, but you can usually hear it when the T-32/T-20
is fully charged. The BG-2 has its own circuitry for recharging the flash
at high voltage through the three pins you asked about at the front of a
T-series flash. As a result, flash recovery time is much, much
shorter! One of the three pins is a signal to the BG-2 that tells it
whether the flash is turned on or off. The BG-2 powers up its high voltage
charging circuitry using that signal. The other two pins carry the high
voltage. This keeps high voltage off of the BG-2 pins unless a T-series
flash is in the shoe *and* turned on. I recommend *always* turning the
flash off before putting it in or removing it from the BG-2 shoe!
