Thanks, but yes all the elk photos were with either the 300/4.5 or
300+1.4XA. I was still pretty close to them, and that's about as in the
middle of them as I would want to be! They're impressive animals! The
only 21/3.5 shot on the page is the landscape with the small lake in the
foreground.
Also, the 21/3.5 hood is still available new from B&H or John H. I would
hope that it's also availalable from Olympus for those not in the US.
It's the same hood as for the 35 shift, so it might be advertised that way
as well. I think there was one listed on the Wide Angle site
<http://www.wide-angle.nl> last time I looked.
