Hi again Steve
I just checked my 75-205/3.5-4.5 Vivitar - close focus is 1 meter at 205mm,
otherwise 1.8m. Seems to be well made, and takes 55mm filters. Mine is like
new/unused, and I am selling it for around $40 in Denmark. I also have a
35/2.8, which I also have for sale in Denmark for $45. So both lenses can
be bought relatively cheaply (same prices in USA I believe).
Sincerely,
Roger Key
Hi Steve
I agree with those that say keep the 24/2.8. If you really want a 35mm,
wait for a cheap 35/2.8; there are lots of them around. If you are being
offered a 100/2.0 as a swap that is something else; normally worth at least
3 times the 24/2.8. The Vivitar 75-205 can also be bought cheaply; note
that the macro works at the 205 end, but not under. Closest focus at 75mm
is about 2 meters.
Sincerely,
Roger Key
...........
Other trading choices are the 100/2.0 Zuiko or a Vivitar 75(?)-205
macrofocusing zoom (knew I shoulda written that one down). (N.B. that
these are not all "even-up" trades for the 24/2.8; I probably could
swing the cash difference between one of those and the traded
equipment.)
So what says the group? .......
Thanks in advance!
Steve
