I've used a fair amount of NC and a little VC. Never had any issue with color accuracy using the NC. The VC was equally color accurate, although slightly more saturated (emphasis on slightly). As with Ken Norton, Portra 160 NC is my first choice for portraiture, wedding and reception photography.

I use Ag-Schnozz lenses for that too (Mamiya Sekor "C" lenses on the M645). Maybe that's why there's never been a problem!! ;-)

Especially when it's only $3.39 [USD] per roll from B&H in NYC . . . and no sniveling about shipping cost is allowed! The active, full-time pro "burn rate" is at least 10X that of a highly active non-pro with a "day job." Pros who shoot portraits and weddings buy film in 20-roll bricks.
