Yes. I know M*****a also has them, don't know about N***n, C***n or P****x
or Lomo.

I mean one that works with the OM-4T :-) But it doesn't sound like it....
Oh well...
Just plowed [ploughed] through the MZ40-3i manual. It makes no mention of
any Super FP mode. Has all manner of information about stroboscopic
mode(max is 20 flashes @ 30Hz, not nearly fast enough).
Some remarks about FP-Sync:
Super FP in electronic strobes mimic the long duration of FP flashbulbs for
FP-Sync (e.g. #26) by repeatedly firing the strobe at very high frequency
so that it covers the entire shutter travel. This means the entire output
must be spread across about 1/30th to 1/45th second (to ensure complete
coverage of the film plane while the curtains are traveling). As with the
long duration FP bulbs, the GN of all flash guns that operate FP, even the
most powerful, plummets dramatically as shutter speed increases and working
distance plummets with it. The F280's GN is 91 [feet @ ISO 100] in TTL/OTF
Mode. Compare this to the GN's [feet @ ISO 100] for each shutter speed in
Super FP Mode:
1/60: 48.2
1/125: 34.1
1/250: 23.9
1/500: 17.0
1/1000: 12.1
1/2000: 8.5
IMHO this strongly limits the utility of Super FP. Even if there was a
strobe with the power of the T45 (GN = 148; equivalent to a pair of
T-32's), it would range from about 74 @ 1/60th to about 13 @ 1/2000th [feet
@ ISO 100]. It gets chopped down to not much more than a T-20 at 1/60th!
FYI:
For those of you with other systems in addition to the OM, the MZ54-3 has
an HSS mode (high speed synchronization; Metz' equivalent to the OM Super
FP). It's shaped somewhat like an F280 with with a head that tilts and
swivels, plus a secondary tube that can be switch on for about 10 0irect
lighting when using the main head for bounce. The Bad News for OM owners:
Metz doesn't have an SCA adapter for the OM-4T/3ti that can take advantage
of their additional two hot shoe contacts for Super FP (aka HSS). The
current SCA for the OM system is the SCA-321, which has the three contacts
that match Olympus' "T" series. There isn't an OM SCA adapter with the
necessary five contacts.
