For a decade (the 1990s) I carried pretty much nothing but a Tamron SP
60-300 like you describe on an OM-2S and it never failed me. I let it go
to a student via ebay (whom I hope is enjoying it) as zuikoholic (and
tamronholic) upgrades moved me away from using it. It was a wonderful
lens that got me many great results and I'll always regard it fondly.
An aside, I just realized I butchered John O'Regan's last name in a
recent post, my apologies John!
