Well Christmas is over and its time to get the film developed and printed.
;-( ;-(
This Christmas I was elected to be the family photographer and was doing OK
until we went indoors to open presents. Outside, I was using the OM2 with
85/f2 to give it some needed exercise, so rummaged around and found a shoe 3
to give it flash capability for the inside shots. I mounted a T20 on one of
those rickety extenders to avoid red-eye, shot about four shots to finish the
roll started outside, and then quickly rewound and loaded a new roll. I
snapped the obligatory two frames and then started shooting the happy faces
of kids and grownups alike as they tore open their presents. Almost finished
the roll.
Today I went out to a scenic spot to finish the roll so I could take it to
the photofinisher. Took the last three shots and then reached for the rewind
knob to turn it to rewind --- OH NO, it was still in the rewind position from
the last roll change. Twenty-plus shots of Christmas 2001 all stacked on one
or two frames. ;-( ;-(
Lesson -- when you shoot with an OM2, be sure to reset the rewind knob when
changing rolls.
Well, maybe next year, and regards to all.
