This sounds self-interested and a little pompus. Not every B&G wants huge
grainless photos of posed people. Casual shots capturing emotions and
thoughts appeal to me.
But no one should get in the way of the wedding photographer who the B&G
have paid to be there. That's not only his bread & butter (cake & caviar?)
but courteous to the couple's wishes.
Season's greetings, tOM.
Tom,
Roger sent his remarks to the list inadvertently. They were based [in
part] on mixing together a couple different areas of my site, one of which
contains some very dry humor [perhaps overly dry]. He and I are having a
good dialog off-list.
I would never seriously suggest anyone barge into the path of the paid
photographer at a wedding or any other private event. It's not only rude
to the photographer, it's rude to the people who hired the
photographer. Having been *the* photographer, the one who is always gets
plenty of berth from me on the occasions when I'm not.
OTOH, other people being there with cameras is a reality. Each pro has
their methods for coping with the presence of Uncle Harry and Aunt
Harriet. The successful ones do it very well. I've given some thought to
adding a link about how to get good wedding photographs when you're *not*
the primary photographer and keep from interfering with the primary one.
