Alas, like my Nikon S2 and SP, it was stolen. In this case, when I was
living in the back of a truck near Telegraph Avenue some 32 years ago....

My brother had a IIIc in high school until it was stolen. He and I went
"around the block" a couple times after I got the Contax IIIa . . . just to
keep the original Holy War alive. He currently uses a manual focus Nik*n
system and we've had some lively discussions about that too. A comment
about "better than a poke in the eye with a sharp winding lever" left him
groping for words for a few seconds (but only for a few). In the end it
always boils down to examining photographs and critiquing them.
At photo shows I evade equipment brand unless specifically pressed for
it. [Q: "What did you do that with?" A: "35mm format using an 18mm prime
with 7mm extension tube."]
