If you are willing to foot the cost of escrow, why not invite the seller to
use it with your offer of BIN? Can that be done? I've never been involved
with an escrow sale.
The lens looks to be in good shape, but the pictures aren't quite detailed
enough for 100 onfidence. The description is quite lacking, but the
feedback for the few items he's sold is encouraging. I understand your
uneasy feeling about this auction. I'd have written it off if it wasn't for
the link to the pictures. I was initially put off by the stock photo. Wonder
why he included the other personal pictures?
