Well, Hoya are the makes make at the moment.
On my 300 4.5, Ive got a 72mm Hoya UV(0) - standard for this type of lens I
should imagine.
Though, I will use this lens for nature photography, like birds and so-forth.
Therefore to bring out colours, such as the sky and taking the shine off leaves
making them greener, a 72mm Circular Polariser is a must to me. There about AUD
$75 each in OZ, but I get them for about 50 - but thats still expensive if you
ask me!
If you really want to get carried away, warming filters can be added - but may
cost you an arm and a leg.
Check them out in local shops for second hand filters in good nick (watch out
for grit stuck around the parameter of the filter glass and metal ring).
