That Vivitar Macro TC is an instant cult item. It is
superior in quality evne to the Zuiko 2x TC and can
turn most any lens into a great macro lens with good
stopped down macro quality. I like mine very much and
have concluded it is probably the only teleconverter I
will ever really need/use. The fact that it's pretty
cheap to boot makes it a buy now thing. If you can get
your hands on one get it you won't regret it.
As for the 50/2 It is a very sharp lens, even at f2
its ultra sharp, go to 5.6 or 8 and you have bleeding
edge sharpness. I used it for portraits a couple times
and it just doesn't work for them, a very unflattering
lens. I like it though as for most other applications
its a great lens, take a picture of something with a
lot of angles and you will be happy :)
