I have only ever used Olympus for an SLR system and
although an apeture reading would be nice I don't see
a critical need for it. The light meter works well and
it really doesn't take long to get a 'feel' for where
one is on the apeture ring. Still I do agree it would
be nice to know exactly where one was just by looking
in the viewfinder rather than having to feel your way
around.
