I realized there were limits to how much could be stacked when I put the
entire Vivitar AT-21 on the back of the 200/4 once (12+20+36 = 68mm). It
was stable enough, but near the limit. They Vivitar set is well made; the
flanges are a tad less solid than the OM tubes though. Had been tempted to
bolt the 300/4.5 on a tube or two, but after doing that with the 200/4
realized it would take at least the entire Vivitar stack and be much less
stable. Your comments confirm it wouldn't work very well without
additional lens support.
