For me it is love on first sight.
Well to be practical,I like the compactness of both the camera body and
lenses;despite of the facts that oly never catches up with the rest of the
league(ie AF,all the bell and whistle from canon and nikon etc etc)
However, the real reason for me is because I was given a Olympus 35SP back in
the early 80's from my late father to use.
But I eventually "follow the crowd" and walk the Nikon way for the past 20yrs.I
never regretted. At least the nikon shows me the way to the art of photography;I
have some fun but still find it lacking in "soul".
Now,my'work horse'system is the contax(s) with 1 zoom and 6 prime lenses.I love
the creamy ,out of focus look of the pictures taken by these lenses and it
bokeh is simply lovely.
So,why olympus/zuiko?
Simple - the look, the speed dial and aperture ring on the front of the body and
lenses are IMHO logical and probably sentimental reason too...!
