Mirror lockup is really only an issue with exposures between maybe 1/8 and 1
sec. or so. Planet photos may be done in this speed range. Most other stuff
will be done either faster (the moon) or slower (everything besides planets &
the moon).
Don't get me wrong, mirror lockup is a great feature in a camera, but it's
complex/expensive to implement. I made sure I had it in the camera's I use for
astrophotography, but in reality I almost never use it.
