I'll join the crowd here and suggest almost any of the Kodak carousel
projectors (if you live in the US). I have (gulp!) three of them. Only one
of them is an Ektagraphic. I have a recent consumer model (4200) a friend
gave me when he upgraded to Ektagraphic III, an Ektagraphic AF-2 I got off
E(vil)bay and an old Carousel 860H which I only bought because it cost me
5US$ at a garage sale (and what I really wanted were the ten carousels and
the stack loader, but I had to take the Kodak and and an old Sears tray
projector to get them ;-)). It turns out the 860H is my favorite of the
bunch because it is in LN condition and has auto-focus (my AF-2 is a little
flaky). I would really look for auto-focus, since it makes running through
a tray of slides a lot easier. Parts for most of the Kodak carousel
projectors are still available. If you can find a good deal on an
Ektagraphic III, go for it, but better deals are generally found on the
older units, which work fine for showing slides at home.
Good Luck,
